General characteristics of the object
The Tereshchenko Group of Companies completed a complex project to dismantle industrial reinforced concrete structures on the territory of a production complex in the Khmelnytskyi region. The object was a massive silo structure that had been operated for a long time under significant static and dynamic loads.
Such structures are built using high-strength concrete with a high cement content and dense reinforcement. The thickness of the walls and load-bearing elements in such objects significantly exceeds standard construction indicators, which significantly complicates the dismantling process.
Main challenges of the project
The key difficulty was the exceptional strength of the reinforced concrete used in the construction of the object. The structures had:
- high concrete density;
- multi-level reinforcement;
- a significant thickness of the load-bearing walls;
- complex geometry of the silo elements.
An additional factor of complexity was the need to perform work within the existing industrial infrastructure, which required clear coordination of equipment and compliance with increased safety standards.
Work execution technology
To achieve maximum efficiency, a phased dismantling technology was used:
1. Preparatory stage
An assessment of the technical condition of the structures was carried out, zones of increased strength were identified, and an optimal dismantling sequence was formed.
2. Primary destruction
Massive structural elements were subjected to intensive destruction using a hydraulic hammer, which allowed the reinforced concrete to be exposed and its integrity to be reduced.
3. Mechanical dismantling
After the structures were weakened, phased dismantling of large fragments was carried out with their subsequent crushing to transportable sizes.
4. Sorting and moving material
The dismantled reinforced concrete was divided into fractions suitable for further removal or processing.
5. Cleaning the area
After the completion of the main works, the site was completely cleaned of construction debris and structural remains.
Features of the work
- The work was carried out in conditions of limited space between industrial buildings.
- Heavy-duty and powerful equipment was used to work with high-strength concrete.
- Constant stability of the residual structures was ensured during dismantling.
- All safety requirements were observed when working with heavy equipment and high-rise elements.
Project result
1,200 m³ of high-strength reinforced concrete was successfully dismantled within the project. The work was completed within the established deadlines without emergencies and in compliance with all technological standards.
The Tereshchenko Group of Companies once again confirmed its expertise in the field of complex industrial dismantling, ensuring an effective combination of technical solutions, team experience and modern equipment.
