



General Project Overview
The Tereshchenko Group of Companies successfully completed a complex industrial demolition project involving reinforced concrete structures at a production facility in the Khmelnytskyi region. The site consisted of large-scale silo constructions that had been exposed to significant static and dynamic loads over a long period.
Such structures are built using high-strength concrete with increased cement content and dense reinforcement. The thickness of walls and load-bearing elements in these facilities significantly exceeds standard construction parameters, making the demolition process considerably more challenging.
Key Project Challenges
The main difficulty was the exceptional strength of the reinforced concrete used in the construction. The structures featured:
- high-density concrete;
- multi-layer reinforcement;
- significant thickness of load-bearing walls;
- complex geometry of silo elements.
An additional challenge was the need to perform demolition within an active industrial environment, requiring precise equipment coordination and strict compliance with enhanced safety standards.
Execution Technology
To achieve maximum efficiency, a phased demolition approach was implemented:
1. Preparation Stage
A detailed technical assessment of the structures was conducted, high-strength zones were identified, and an optimal demolition sequence was developed.
2. Primary Breaking
Massive structural elements were subjected to intensive breaking using a hydraulic hammer, allowing exposure of reinforced concrete and reduction of its structural integrity.
3. Mechanical Demolition
After weakening the structures, large fragments were dismantled step by step and further crushed into transportable sizes.
4. Material Sorting and Handling
Demolished reinforced concrete was sorted into fractions suitable for transportation or recycling.
5. Site Clearance
After completing the main works, the site was fully cleared of construction debris and structural remnants.
Project Execution Features
- Operations were carried out in confined spaces between industrial buildings.
- Heavy-duty and high-performance machinery was used to handle ultra-strong concrete.
- Continuous stability of remaining structures was ensured during demolition.

Project Result
Within the project, 1200 m³ of high-strength reinforced concrete was successfully demolished. All works were completed on schedule without incidents and in full compliance with technological standards.
