The complexity of performing the earthworks in this case was due to the fact that during the excavation of the pit, its lowest point was 50 cm below the level of the groundwater table. The possibility of introducing drilling equipment and the subsequent construction of structures depended on the thoroughness of the preparation and the correct choice of the work algorithm. Soil excavation was carried out in layers, using dewatering systems, preliminary backfilling with brick, and modern techniques for the use of geotextile materials.
During this time, foundation demolition works were carried out on four buildings with a total volume of 5,000 m³. Over 65,000 m³ of soil was excavated, of which 30,000 m³ was removed beyond the boundaries of the customer’s construction site. A complete demolition of a four-story building with a volume of 85,000 m³ was also carried out.
